ORMOC CITY, Philippines — It's all systems go for the Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival 2013 on October 24 to 27, the biggest bike festival in the country that was founded in 2002 by former Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal in honor of his father, the late Ormoc City Mayor Emeterio "Terry" Larrazabal Sr.
Larrazabal said some 700 bikers from all over the country will be joining the bikefest, as he expected a rise in the number of visitors to this city, considering that the bikers will be coming in with their families and friends.
Larrazabal said that Chris Cocalis of Pivot Cycles and Jeremy Sycip of Sycip Designs from the United States, among the big names in the cycling world, are also coming over. The National Mountain Bike Cross Country Race will also be held during the festival.
He noted that TLBF has cemented its fame as the biggest cycling event in Asia. For the 2014 staging, famous cycling groups from the US and Europe have committed to join, he added. — (FREEMAN)
