Galenzoga dares Cari to a debate

BAYBAY CITY , Philippines   â€” United Nationalist’s Alliance mayoralty bet Marilou “Malot” Galenzoga here has challenged reelectionist Mayor Carmen Cari to a debate, following several requests from various sectors in the city.

In her speeches in different barangays, Galenzoga dared her rival to face the people and answer their questions on critical issues confronting the city at present.

“More than character-assassinating me, (Cari) should answer the issues the city residents have hurled against her and debunk COA reports,” she told The Freeman.

Galenzoga said Mayor Cari should stick to what is good for the Baybayanons. “Instead of throwing mud at me, she should give the Baybayanons clear and feasible platforms for the betterment of the city.”

Galenzoga said she is now ready to face Cari at the city’s Veterans’ Park, adding that she welcomed any organization to sponsor a candidates’ forum for the purpose.

As of press time, Mayor Cari did not answer Galenzoga’s challenge yet.

Following Galenzoga’s dare, many Baybayanons already declared their support to the mayoralty debate.
