ENCROACHING. A high-ranking official of the Department of Public Works and Highways has filed charges against many car wash business owners who are reportedly using the national road along V. Rama Avenue in washing cars for a fee. But a car owner who patronizes this cheap car wash stations asked The Ear: "How come the DPWH could say that they (car-wash business establishments) have encroached the road where there are no structures introduced."
PRO-ELITE. Patrons of these cheap carwash businesses in V. Rama are taxi drivers and low-end car owners who are paying them P80 to P100 per car to wash, the same car owner said, adding that if the DPWH is serious in its campaign against road encroachment, they can easily see big establishments with big trucks and vans parking the whole day on the roadsides. He quipped: "Magduda man sad ta nga kining DPWH kunsabo sa mga elite nga carwash establishments nga mahal kaayo og pinangayoan kada car wash. Mapordoy gyud sa mga dagkong car wash ang naa diha sa V. Rama."
