Why we need a nat'l transformation council

Looking at the old newspapers last weekend, I learned that it wasn't a huge rally last Saturday as organized by the Anti-Pork Coalition. But it doesn't mean that you need a million people to troop to the Plaza Independencia to shout out their indignation against the presidency of Pres. Benigno Aquino III and grave misuse of the pork barrel. My loyal readers know too well that I've spent most of the 4 years under Pres. Aquino pointing out his serious defects…which somehow has magnified and worsened.

Perhaps the biggest problem of this nation today is that we've been living under a vicious pro-PNoy propaganda campaign, supported by the Social Weather Station  and Pulse Asia that says that PNoy is very popular and most of the mainstream media networks that somehow believe in the yarn that Pres. Aquino is an extremely popular president. On the contrary, we have already exposed PNoy's blood links to the owners of SWS and Pulse Asia and yes, the main stream media just played along.

But as I've already written before, on June 8, 2013, under the Presidency of Archbishop Jose Palma, the Catholic Bishops of the Philippines consecrated the Philippines to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and a couple of months later, the Philippines went into a great purgation or the cleansing of the corruption that defies this nation. Look what that consecration has brought our nation… the infamous Janet Lim Napoles files that showed many senators and congressmen benefiting from their pork barrels using fake NGO's to facilitate their corruption. So far, only three senators have been indicted and are now under arrest. But what about the rest?

Yesterday there was a declaration done in Lipa City that was signed by members of the civic society and the clergy, including those other Christian denomination, led by Archbishop of Lipa, Mgrs. Ramon Arguelles who made the call for a National Transformation Council to become the caretaker government because many of us no longer believe that Pres. PNoy's government can continue to function with the day-to-day activities. Worse of all, there's the threat of the Communists, wherein four leftist groups allied with the Communist Party of the Philippines filed separate impeachment charges against Pres. Aquino.

I have no doubt that those impeachment charges warrant an investigation by the members of Congress. But like the impeachment of former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Renato Corona, when Congress impeached him within an hour because no debates or arguments were entertained… I'm sure this act would be repeated once more…but this time, these members of Congress would reject the impeachment of Pres. Aquino in probably lesser time that it took Congress to impeach CJ Corona.

But knowing that our legislators have already sold away their independence to Pres. Aquino, we can already predict how the Political Elite would react when it discusses those impeachment charges against the President and it would throw it out of the window with dispatch! I'm sure that this is part and parcel of the game plan of the Communists so that the Filipino people will be so incensed they will march to the streets again in indignation and anger, and you can second guess who will benefit from the chaos that would ensue.

Let me warn you that the CPP/NDF/NPA have already concentrated their men in arms inside Metro Manila and if the PNP sends its men to barricade Malacañang, it would end in violence and I fear that people will be killed. Mind you, it happened during the Mendiola massacre and the Hacidena Luisita massacre. So why shouldn't it not happen in Malacañang with an Aquino as President? The things will turn from bad to nasty and spiral out of control. So before these things happen to our country, the National Transformation Council offers a peaceful solution to our problems.

To add to the woes of Pres. Aquino, (that civic group which is not allied to the CPP/NDF/NPA) called the Tanggulang Demokrasya, a broad coalition of civil society organizations are calling for the creation of a People's Truth Commission to discover and reveal the accountability and any consequent liability of the administration of President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III, arising from its massive juggling of public funds through the Disbursement Acceleration Program that has been ruled unconstitutional by unanimous vote of the Supreme Court.

I fully concur that there is a need to call for a Truth Commission, similar to the Agrava Commission, but hopefully unlike the Agrava Commission which was created by Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, this won't be created by Pres. PNoy Aquino as he is the person that needs some investigating. We must have this Truth Commission to get into the bottom of the numerous mess that happened under the watch of Pres. Aquino.
