Rich man has antique celfone

ANTIQUE. Don Ramon (not his real name), a millionaire who runs a 10-hectare cattle ranch in Mindoro and holds several corporate positions in businesses in Manila, carries an old cellular phone (a Nokia 3310) which his grandchildren call "antik" (antique).

CAN AFFORD. His grandchildren's mobile phones — even those of his household helpers — are of the latest models but he has gotten stuck to his ancient phone. "Of course, I can afford to buy the modern ones," he told relatives who jokingly call him "tihik" (Cebuano for tightwad), "but I'm comfortable with this antique one ... It has served me well for over 10 years now."
