From 1907 to 1972 there was the 6th Congressional District of Cebu composed of the following: Aloguinsan, Barili, Dumanjug, Pinamungajan, Toledo (which became a city in 1960) and Ronda (re-established as a town by the Americans in 1913).
From 1987 up to the present, Toledo City and the towns of Aloguinsan, Barili, Pinamungajan belong to the 3rd Congressional District of Cebu, while the municipalities of Dumanjug and Ronda belong to the 2nd Congressional District of Cebu.

Miguel Raffinan, who was elected several times as Representative of the District was also a Mayor of Cebu City, this was from 1947 to 1951. He had a successful Law practice and was born in Cebu City on May 13, 1891. Congressmen Nicolas Rafols and Manuel Zosa have streets in Cebu City named after them.
