YAWNING. When you yawn ("panghuy-ab") do not open your mouth too wide. This is the advice of an orthopedic doctor who treated a Nursing student whose mouth could not close after yawning. The Nursing student had to be rushed to the hospital with her mouth open.
REVIEWING. An Ear informer said the student was reviewing for the Nursing exam. She was already sleepy and she kept yawning but kept on reading her books. At one point she yawned too much and got frightened when her mouth would not close. The ortho doctor said fright worsened the locked nerve in her jaws.
