CEBU, Philippines – The Mandaue City government recognized its outstanding employees and top taxpayers during its 46th Charter Day celebration last Sunday.
The awarding program, dubbed as #iammandaue Awards, was held at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex. The event served as the culminating activity for the month-long celebration of the city.
According to Mitch Yu of Mandaue City's Human Resource Management Office, 19 regular awardees received #iammandaue awards. Nine of the regular awardees were employees of the City Hall.
The top awardee for the local level was Dr. Edna Seno, department head of the Mandaue City Health Office.
Captain Malaquias Soco of Barangay Paknaan was also the top awardee for the barangay level. Four others were also awarded for the same level.
For the national level, five individuals received the award, including Police Supt. Mark Anthony Bastes, chief of the Investigation and Detection Management Branch of the Mandaue City Police Office.
Two #iammandaue special awards were also given, while 56 also received the First Milestone Awards.
The city government also awarded six of its former employees who retired from work starting January to August of this year. Four retirables this year were also given awards.
Three topnotchers from Mandaue City were also recognized.
Another 10 were also recognized, including Tribu Mandauehanon and Mandaue Children's Choir.
For the top taxpayers, three sole proprietorship businesses were awarded. These include PLD Construction, Dynamic Castings, and Vic Enterprises.
The top three individual taxpayers awarded consisted of Joseph Alquizola, King Kee Ko, and Wilson Ng.
Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., Everjust Realty Development Corp., and San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corp. were also the top three corporate tax payers for real property.
The top three corporate business taxpayers were Zuellig Pharma Corporation, Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc., and Visayan Electric Company.
