CEBU, Philippines – The Department of Trade and Industry in Cebu Province will provide support to the city government of Danao in marketing its local products coming from the different barangays.
Dr. Elias Tecson, head of Business Development Division - Cebu Province, made the announcement during the opening of one week Christmas Bazaar in Danao City.
Vice Mayor Ramon ‘Red” Durano VI started the Christmas Bazaar during his term as congressman representing the Fifth Congressional District of Cebu.
Tecson said he noticed that different products in different barangays of Danao City.
Tecson personally witnessed the exhibit in the different booths.
The 42 barangays in Danao City clustered into ten headed by a city councilor.
According to Tecson, the promotion and marketing is important and the DTI in Cebu Province is willing to support the undertaking of the city.
He assured the city officials that their office will also help small farmers in Danao.
Danao City Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III said the city government will closely coordinate with DTI and other national government agencies that can support the small farmers in marketing their products. –/JRS
