CEBU, Philippines – An aeronautics student was stabbed Thursday dawn by unidentified suspects while walking his way home near Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base in Sitio Sangi, Barangay Pajo.

The victim was identified as Jorge Philip Locquia, 28, a student of Philippine State College of Aeronautics and a native of Jolo, Sulu. Locquia was said to have come from a drinking session with his cousin. The incident happened around 1:30 in the morning.

Initial investigation of Police Officer 3 Luisito Ernie of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Homicide Section revealed that Locquia was having a drinking session with his female cousin, Ramonica Macapaz, 26, at Hotline Bar located in the same barangay. When Locquia and Macapaz finished their last round of drinks, they decided to go home and parted ways, police said.

While Locquia was walking his way home, two strangers allegedly went near him and suddenly stabbed him at the left side of his body. The two suspects immediately fled, leaving Locquia with wounds in his arms and left side of his face.

According to Ernie, the victim was rushed immediately to the Mactan Doctors' Hospital for medical attention.
