Man, 36, caught having sex with dog in Mandaue City

CEBU, Philippines - A man was arrested after he was reportedly caught in the act of having sex with a dog early dawn Sunday in Barangay Cubacub, Mandaue City.

Danilo Udto, 36, a native of Ubay, Bohol who is temporarily living in Barangay Cubacub, was reported to the police by the dog's owner Salvador Secuya.

Secuya said he caught the suspect in the act of molesting his dog and according to the police, his statement was corroborated by habal-habal drivers.

Police Officer 2 Giovanni Gacusan of Canduman Police Station, who responded to the alarm, said when he came to check the crime scene, he saw several empty bottles of brandy and another unconsumed bottle.

Drunk

During investigation, it was learned that Udto was having a drinking session with habal-habal drivers in the area up to the wee hours of the morning.

But at around 3:30 a.m., Udto left his drinking buddies and started playing with the dog chained by the owner just outside their house.

Minutes after playing with the dog, his drinking buddies who were all allegedly drunk, were all shocked to see the suspect undressing himself and starting to have sex with the dog.

Since the dog was already moaning in pain and had not stopped barking, this prompted Secuya to wake up and check on his pet dog. He claimed he saw Udto still having sex with his dog so he collared him and then called for police help.

Gacusan said when they arrived, Udto asked them if he could wash his hands first but they told him he could not for evidence purposes.

"Ang iyang sinina nagkalapok-lapok, naputos pa sa asiti ug lapok kay gikupogan niya ang iro," Gacusan said.

"Siya (Udto) ug ang iro pareha gyud sila og baho. Ang iro pud bati sab og linaktan; gipalakaw-lakaw namo pero igo lang molukso-lukso, mora'g nakimpang," Gacusan added.

Gacusan said the suspect was drunk that they could barely understand what he was telling the officers although he said the suspect told them, "Wa lage ko nanghilabot sa iro, babaye akong gusto."

Liquor test

Udto was brought to the Mandaue City Hospital where he was subjected for a liquor test and results showed he was indeed positive of alcohol intake.

He was then brought to the police station for detention, but Secuya did not pursue filing a case against his neighbor out of pity. This after the suspect is said to be having a hard time even feeding himself.

Apart from forgiving the suspect, Secuya also paid P500 for the suspect's violation of the city ordinance on drunkenness so he could be released from detention yesterday.

It was obvious, however, that the pet's owner was mad over what had happened to his pet.

"Amo na lang gibuhian kay di naman gyud mopasaka ug kaso ang tag-iya sa iro kay maglugos man sad daw ni og kaon tawhana. Busa bisan og napungot sa suspek sa gidangatan sa ilang iro nga nagkaang-kaang na, naluoy man sad daw sila maong ilang gipabuhian. Tambalan na lang daw nila og Betadine ilang iro," Gacusan said. — With Bryner L. Diaz
