CEBU, Philippines - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Central Visayas is recognizing Talisay City government's Fishermen Sea and Ecological Care, the city's version of Bantay Dagat, for its contribution in the protection of environment.
DENR regional executive director Dr. Isabelo Montejo, in his letter to FISECA chairman Gregorio dela Torre, said FISECA will receive recognition for their support to DENR's programs in the protection, conservation and preservation of the country's environment and natural resources.
The giving of recognition will be made in SM City Cebu on June 30.
Montejo said the award and recognition underscore the serious commitment of the DENR to promote sustainable eco-friendly programs with the help and assistance of both public and private collaborators.
"As our valued partner, you will serve as an inspiration to all those who strive for sustainable natural resources and healthy environment," Montejo said in his letter.
