CEBU, Philippines - Residents in some parts of Talisay City may have to brace for seven-hour water service interruptions today.
City Information Officer Vince Monterde told The FREEMAN the Metropolitan Cebu Water District informed them the water interruptions will be due to the installation of gate valve on the newly-laid 100mm diameter PVC pipe and interconnection to the existing 150mm diameter PVC pipeline on Santik Street, Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City.
"We advised them to store water to limit their inconvenience," Monterde said.
In an advisory, the water interruptions will take place between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
MCWD said the areas affected are those from Barangay Lagtang to downtown area. These include Barangays Lawaan, Tabunok, San Isidro and Bulacao.
Aside from Talisay, some parts of Cebu City might also be affected, including Barangays Bulacao, Cogon-Pardo, Kinasang-an, Basak, part of Quiot, Basak San Nicolas, Mambaling, Duljo Fatima, Sawang Calero, Ermita, Pahina Central, Kalubihan, part of Carbon and downtown area. (FREEMAN)
