CEBU, Philippines - A fish dealer died after he was shot by a fish vendor Tuesday evening near Sto. Niño Street, Barangay Suba, Cebu City.
The victim was identified as Feliciano Bedolido Torreon a.k.a. "Negro," 41, of Barangay Suba. He was brought by the barangay watchmen to Cebu City Medical Center after the shooting happened but was declared dead on arrival.
PO3 Geoffrey Gutual of homicide section of Cebu City Police Office said that a resident of said place who had witnessed the incident told them that a certain Aramlito Becbec a.k.a. "Aram" shot the victim.
The witness alleged that the victim was sleeping at the place when the suspect woke the victim up and shot him with an undetermined caliber of firearm which was wrapped in a shirt.
The police had also gathered information from the witness that the suspect had a personal grudge to the victim after the victim allegedly refused to deal some fish to the suspect who promised to pay him after vending.
Gutual alleged that the victim had three children and that he was the bread winner of the family.
Police are still pursuing the suspect who was able to escape after the incident.
On the same day, a tricycle driver was shot in Barangay Ermita, Cebu City by a man who was only identified by his alias, "Poloy."
Chrismar Binondo, 30, of Barangay Ermita, said that he was watching a TV show inside an illegal gambling den when the suspect shot him with no apparent reason.
Binondo, who was hit on his right leg, was rushed to CCMC by the barangay watchmen of Ermita while Poloy immediately fled to unknown direction. (FREEMAN)
