CEBU, Philippines - Officials of the municipality of Consolacion have assured the residents of the different barangays that they are now working for the improvement and upgrading of the services of the Municipal Health Office.
Mayor Teresa Alegado has issued a directive to MHO seeking to provide the necessary services to the residents of the barangays.
Alegado said the improvement of the delivery of basic health services is a top priority under her administration.
The mayor also said she will be closely working with the Department of Health to provide the necessary support to the town's health needs.
Most of the residents in Consolacion are admitted at the Eversly Child Sanitarium in Barangay Jagobiao in Mandaue City and Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
Apart from local officials, sixth district Rep. Gabriel "Luigi" Quisumbing has also provided support through his medical assistance program. (FREEMAN)
