CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City Council has passed a resolution congratulating the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office for having received a silver eagle award from the prestigious Institute Solidarity in Asia held on February 20, 2014 at Camp Crame in Manila.
The city council resolution said that the Institute Solidarity in Asia has conducted a performance governance system training for provincial and city police offices in the country. The said training, the resolution said, was meant to give a clear direction on what they want to accomplish within the prescribed period of time relevant to their duties and responsibilities as stewards for peace, security and order in the community.
The Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, under the leadership of Sr. Supt. Rey Lyndon Lawas got a remarkable score of 90 to 95 on their performance in the said training, which qualified them to receive a Silver Eagle Award from ISA.
Vice Mayor Marcial Ycong and members of the City Council said that the award will serve as a motivation and inspiration to the entire police force of the city of Lapu-Lapu to effectively perform their duties and responsibilities as law enforcers. (FREEMAN)
