CEBU, Philippines - The city government of Lapu-Lapu will continue its support for the success of the implementation of the national government's Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
City Mayor Paz Radaza made the statement in yesterday's fun run sponsored by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in support to the program called "Kaya Ko" fun run.
Radaza said thousands of poor families in 30 barangays of Lapu-Lapu City availed of the program of the national government implemented and supervised by DSWD.
The city mayor said the local government provides full support to assure the success of the program implementation.
However, Radaza said that while the program may stop anytime since it will depend on the availability of the national budget, the city government has already made some preparations.
Radaza said they conducted trainings and seminars for the beneficiaries of Pantawid program, especially the women.
The city government, according to Radaza, also identified livelihood projects for women in the different barangays. (FREEMAN)
