Lapu-Lapu multicab drivers request Jonas for new route

CEBU, Philippines - Multicab drivers that ply the Mandaue City-Mactan Export Zone Phaze 1 in Lapu-Lapu City route have asked for a new route that would take passengers to a mall in barangay Bakilid in the city.

Carlos Villamor, president of Northern Cebu Transport Alliance and its chairperson  Romeo Armamento wrote Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes for a new route.

Both Villamor and Armamento informed Mayor Jonas Cortes that the more than 140 drivers are interested to serve commuters from the city, especially those working at the different companies inside MEPZ 1.

They said since the implementation of the Tamiya-Mandaue City J. Center Mall route, many of their passengers ask to be taken to Mandaue City, particularly to the J. Center Mall from MEPZ Phase 1.

The city government of Mandaue will look into the request. (FREEMAN)
