CEBU, Philippines - The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas have identified close to 60 beneficiaries from the first district for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
The first district covers the area of Talisay City, Naga City, Carcar City, and the municipalities of Minglanilla, San Fernando, and Sibonga.
DSWD-7 information officer Aileen Lariba said the beneficiaries are in the list of identified potential 4Ps beneficiaries.
More than 889,000 households nationwide and 43,329 households come from Central Visayas, the 7th set of beneficiaries covered in the program since it started in 2008.
Of the 43,000 households in Central Visayas, its first batch of 1,731 household beneficiaries shall begin its registration on the onset of August this year.
The city of Carcar has 15 beneficiaries, Naga City has 6, Talisay City, 11, Minglanilla, 3, San Fernando, 9, and Sibonga, 8.
DSWD personnel will conduct the orientation and registration of new Pantawid Pamilya members. Documents such as birth certificates of both parents and children, baptismal and marriage certificates if available, and 2x2 pictures are needed for the registration.
However, prior to these households to be officially declared members, they are to understand and sign the Oath of Commitment. – (FREEMAN)
