CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City police will adopt a class on Monday as classes start, Talisay City Police Station officer-in-charge Superintendent Elmer Lim said.
Lim told The Freeman yesterday the police will pick a class at the Linao Elementary School and there distribute school supplies to pupils.
Aside from it, the police will also donate foot paths to the school in anticipation of the rainy days.
He said the activity is part of the Philippine National Police program that is designed to help students and schools.
On other hand, the city police are prepared for the school opening this Monday. Lim said he will assign police officers to the big schools.
Some of the big schools are the Talisay City Central School, Tabunok Elementary School, Cansojong Elementary School, Lawaan Elementary School, and Lagtang Elementary School.
The OIC urged parents to assist their children in going to school especially those in kindergarten and grade one. (FREEMAN)
