CEBU, Philippines - A Filipino woman was arrested the other night at the Mactan Cebu International Airport for possessing a fake passport. A British national who was travelling with her was also arrested.
British national Timothy Fendings, 41, and Cecile Besamis, 26, of barangay Guadalupe in Cebu City will be investigated.
The couple was on its way to Singapore when apprehended and turned over to the police.
Bureau of Immigration personnel said Besamis’ passport appeared tampered.
BID-MCIA Alien Control Officer lawyer Brandon Enad earlier said his bureau is on the alert for fake documents and human trafficking at the airport. (FREEMAN)
