CEBU, Philippines - A resident in sitio Kawayanan, barangay Lagtang, Talisay City has alleged seeing the controversial son of Mayor Socrates Fernandez packing a gun Monday afternoon.
Florita Echavez Rosas, 54, went to the police to say Joavan Fernandez had a gun while setting up campaign posters in her neighborhood.
Rosas said she confronted Joavan and told him to refrain from attaching posters near her house.
She said Joavan most probably did not like what she said because he went to his car and came back with a gun already tucked in his waist.
She said Joavan resumed to setting up the posters, and the gun would show every time he turned his back on her.
TCPS officer-in-charge Elmer Lim said the police will monitor Joavan’s movements. (FREEMAN)
