CEBU, Philippines - A motorcycle taxi, or “habal-habal,†driver died while four others were injured in an accident involving a car and two motorcycles Thursday dawn in barangay Mohon, Talisay City.
Jefferson Tamidler, from barangay Biasong, Talisay City who drove the Kia Rio car, with plate number YKJ-312, is detained at the Talisay City detention cell.
Tamidler was allegedly under the influence of liquor when the accident took place.
Eleasar Dejos, legal age, of barangay Pooc, driver of Racal motorcycle bearing plate number TP-060607 died while at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, according to a report from the police traffic division of Talisay.
Injured were Baldwin Babor, 22, resident of Lawaan III, Talisay, driver of Honda wave motorcycle with plate number 4711-IQ and passengers Crisilda Lahindao, 20, and Michelle Dinawanao, both from barangay Pooc, and John Vincent Abellana, 19, of barangay Dumlog, Talisay.
Based on the investigation by SPO2 Nestor Canlobo, Tamidler was travelling from Tabunok on his way home when the collision with two motorcycles occurred. (FREEMAN)
