CEBU, Philippines - A 65-year old man sustained severe injuries as the motorcycle he was driving was sideswept by a tricycle Tuesday evening at Rabaya Street, barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.
Agripino Castillon, resident of sitio Crasher, barangay Lawaan III, Talisay was taken to the Visayan Community Hospital in Cebu City.
Tricycle driver Randy Nacua, of barangay Lagtang, Talisay, is detained at the Talisay City detention cell.
SPO2 Elmer Saladas said Castillon was travelling in the opposite direction when the accident happened.
Saladas said Nacua was attempting to overtake a vehicle when he sideswiped the motorcycle.
Nacua allegedly fled, leaving Castillon lying on the pavement.
Another tricycle driver who witnessed everything informed a traffic enforcer about the accident.
The traffic enforcer chased the suspect and arrested him. (FREEMAN)
