CEBU, Philippines - The Tabunok public market in Talisay City bristles with snatchers, or snatch thieves, and the police have cautioned the public from displaying valuables.
PO3 Marginette Yosores, chief operation and women’s desk officer of the Talisay City Police Station, yesterday said members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) field training program will be sent to busy streets in Tabunok to augment the police organic force.
“Ilado na kaayo ni silang mga snatcher nga magsige og pangigo diha sa usa ka mall sa barangay Tabunok. Ang uban niini, nagbalikbalik na lang sa prisohan,†Yosores said.
She said these thieves even commit crimes inside the mall.
“Amo lang sab nga gipasidan-an ang mga security guard sa mall nga magbantay lang sab gyud aning mga snatcher nga anha magyampungad sa mall. Duna tay mga pulis nga mag-roving ug mamadlong gani mi niadtong mga mag text-text sa dan ug manul-ob sa mga alahas nga di mokompyansa,†Yosores said.
