CEBU, Philippines - Most public utility vehicle drivers in Mandaue City welcome the new re-routing scheme as the city demolished two illegal terminals along M. C. Briones national highway.
Romeo Bargamento, president of the Mandaue United Drivers Association expressed delight the illegal terminals are gone, which means the customary P40 paid to barkers is now history.
Bargamento said the flow of traffic from the northern portion of the city particularly near the Pacific Mall down to San Miguel Corporation in barangay Tipolo is now smooth.
The re-routing was designed to decongest traffic and to help mall goers have direct access to J Centre mall at A. S. Fortuna Street in barangay Banilad. (FREEMAN)
