CEBU, Philippines - A man was arrested for brandishing a gun midnight Sunday in sitio Galaxy in barangay Maguikay, Mandaue City.
Roberto Caayon, 48, married, and a resident of Maguikay was arrested. Neighbors called the police when they saw an allegedly drunk Caayon aiming his gun at practically everybody.
Seized from him was a .45 cal. pistol.
Earlier that day, his cousin Diogenes Negro, 33, married, and a driver/bodyguard of businessman Wellington Lim, reported to the Investigative and Detective Management Bureau (IDMB) that his .45 caliber pistol service firearm was stolen by his cousin Caayon.
Negro said he placed his service firearm in his bag before going to sleep.
When he woke-up at around 3 p.m. Sunday, he found his gun missing and learned that Caayon took it.
Casuntingan Police station chief P Sr./Insp. Meche Gabod said although the gun is licensed, Caayon will be charged with illegal possession of firearm and for drunkenness. (FREEMAN)
