CEBU, Philippines - Two separate stabbing incidents in Mandaue City were reported on the night of All Souls Day.
An alleged drunk woman stabbed another woman Friday evening in sitio Lalin in barangay Jagobiao.
Annabel Labang, 32, sustained a wound on her right palm and another on the arm after being struck by neighbor Rosalinda Pitogo, 43.
Labang had asked Pitogo to turn down the volume of her sound system alleging that her live-in partner who earns a living as a carpenter needed to get some sleep to make it on time for work the following day.
However, Pitogo who was drunk at the time grabbed a knife and swung at Labang.
Labang was taken to the Eversley Hospital in barangay Jagobiao while Pitogo was arrested.
In another development, an 18-year-old man was stabbed by a neighbor in sitio Baybayon in barangay Looc, Mandaue City.
Resty Sardorallo, 18, accused neighbor Manolito Balili, 32, who was allegedly drunk, of stabbing him for no apparent reason.
Sardorallo was hit on the right elbow with a kitchen knife by Balili.
PO1 Melvin Pelayo said Balili was tipsy during the alleged attack.
During interrogation, Balili claimed Sardorallo bothered him while he was trying to sell a mobile phone to a friend.
Sardorallo was taken to the Mandaue City Hospital while Balili was arrested and detained at the Opao police station. (FREEMAN)
