CEBU, Philippines — Six teams will battle for hardcourt supremacy as the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 4th Boysen Cup 2026 kicks off today (Sunday, October 11) at the Benedicto College-Cebu City Gymnasium.

Before the games, a simple opening ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m.

The participating teams vying for the coveted crown are Nation, Kostrukt, Color Series, Healthy Home, Virtuoso and Titan Superflex.

They will play a single round-robin eliminations, with the top two teams advancing outright to the semifinals.

The remaining four teams will clash in the playoffs, with No. 3 facing No. 6 and No. 4 taking on No. 5. The winners will advance to the Final Four and then to the championship.

The tournament follows a unique format this time.

Each team must field a Solid Five composed of players from five age brackets: 20–25, 26–30, 31–35, 36–40, and 41 years old and above. Each player in the Solid Five must also represent a different chapter.

“This format ensures a balanced mix of youth, prime talent and veteran leadership—showcasing the depth and diversity of each team,” said CABC co-chairman Oliver Tan during a press conference Saturday, October 10, at ANYDAY Restaurant in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City. — (FREEMAN)
