CEBU, Philippines — Philip Sainz bagged the last race of the month of July in the Mandaue City Weekly Criterium at the city’s reclamation area yesterday.
Sainz, of Team Amorganda-Williams, topped the fast 50-above category after dealing 15 laps of action at 2.2 kilometers per lap. He was lucky to also have the support of his teammates that prevented another decorated cyclist Nilo Barbalose from finishing first this time.
