CEBU, Philippines — Veteran Alex Ngoi clinched the Open Masters championship during the first edition of the Cebu International Invitational Tenpin Bowling Championships 2019 organized by Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) over the weekend at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.
Ngoi of PBA-Jackson Tours upended CETBA’s John Galindo in the final round with 222-212 score to snare the coveted title.
Ngoi earned an automatic finals berth after he dominated the first eight-game qualifying round with a total of 1,769 points.
During the finals, Ngoi outlasted Galindo with a 10-point margin. Dianne Galendez-Lim of DATBA wound up third.
The champion went home with P500, 000, while the second and third placers pocketed P200,000 and P100,000, respectively.
Meanwhile,George Mañozo bagged the Senior Masters, while Archie Nasala of ACBI snagged the Associate Masters title.
Matheo Reyes ruled the Junior Masters as CETBA’s Joshua Galarse topped the Youth Masters class.
