Rotary Run draws 1 thousand entries

CEBU, Philippines — Close to 1,000 running buffs will be taking part in the first ever Rotary Run 2019 this Sunday starting and ending at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

 

Organized by the Rotary Club of Metro Cebu, the advocacy race is for raising awareness on the newborn hearing screening. It features the 100m kiddie dash, 1K, 3K, 6K and 12K.

“Everything is set for Sunday,” said organizing committee chairman Siegfried Sia.

Cash prizes, medals and gift certificates await the top finishers in the 3K, 6K and 12K.

Interested parties can still catch up as registration is still ongoing.

One may register at the Ayala Activity Center, Basilica Minore del Santo Niño (near the first aid station) and Olvis Travel in Ayala.

Entry fee is pegged at P350 for 100m and 1K, P450 for 3K, P750 for 6K and P950 for 12K.

Meanwhile, all runners are reminded that assembly time is 4:45 am, while the gunstart for 12K is 5:30 am. The awarding ceremony will begin at 7:00 am.
