CEBU, Philippines — Barangay tanods from 62 barangays in Cebu City have received their October honorarium last Friday and yesterday.
The honorarium worth P4,000 was disbursed by the City Treasurer's Office in batches.
Last Dec. 7, tanods from Barangays Bacayan, Capitol Site, Day-as, Kasambagan, Malubog, Sambag I, Tejero and Zapatera, Quiot and Poblacion Pardo received their P4,000.
The second batch, composed of 52 barangays, was accommodated yesterday.
These are barangays Kinasangan, Pasil, Babag, Pamutan, Sawang Calero, Tabunan, San Nicolas Proper, Tagba-o, Suba, Kalunasan, Bulacao, Sudlon 2, Buhisan, Duljo Fatima, Bonbon, Sudlon 1, Pahina San Nicolas, Basak Pardo, Basak San Nicolas, Toong, Labangon, Calamba, Pung-ol Sibugay and Sinsin, Apas, Sto. Nino, Carreta, Budlaan, San Roque, Busay, Hipodromo, Banilad, Adlaon, Kamputhaw, Talamban, T. Padilla, Luz, Lusaran, Kalubihan, Sta. Cruz, Tinago, Mabini, Pit-os, Sambag 2, Capitol Site, Kamagayan, Pahina Central, Sirao, Cogon Ramos, Cambinocot, San Antonio and Pulangbato.
Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP) head Garry Lao said that the tanods have five days to claim their honorarium.
Lao added that the honorarium for November is now being processed.
The barangay tanods were also reminded by Mayor Tomas Osmeña to keep peace and order in the city as Misa de Gallo, Christmas and Sinulog are fast approaching. — Isabella G. Obor (FREEMAN)
