CEBU, Philippines - Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo, Cebu City will be holding the Directors’ Cup this weekend.
This is a two-day, 18-hole tournament that will be using the Modified Stableford Scoring System. This is open to members and guests.
The scoring format awards six points for a net double-eagle, five for an ace, four for eagle, three for birdie, two for par, and one for bogey.
There will be prizes for the top three players of three handicap categories for men and the seniors’ (55 to 69 years old) divisions and the top two for the super seniors (70 years old and above), ladies, and guests.
Entry fee for members is pegged at P700 each where 200 will be allotted for the club’s charitable projects.
Guests will be assessed P2,000.
There will also be prizes for the longest drive on Hole No. 10, most accurate drive on No. 11 and the nearest to the pin on the par-3 No. 6.
This is organized by the club’s Monthly Medal Committee headed by Engineer Willy T. Go with Michael Lim, Lino Dagus, Bobby Barria, and Toby Florendo as members.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Alta Vista ballroom on Sunday. (FREEMAN)
