CEBU, Philippines - Alaska Tri-Aspire’s Kristiann Lim and Louie Villacin dominated their respective divisions of the Paramount Property Venture’s TriTeam Championship in Dumanjug, yesterday.
Lim snared the overall crown in the men’s premier after finishing the race in two hours, 14 minutes and 52 seconds, while Joseph Miller ended second with 2:20;08 as Kim Andrew Remolino settled for third in 2:26:02.
In the distaff side, Villacin made a statement after failing to finish the latest Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines. She claimed the women’s title with 2:49:30 clocking, followed by Ciany Gonzales (3:03:46) and Denise Abcede (3:12:22) for the second and third place, respectively.
In the age-groups, the top performers were Donray Noval(29-above), Jan Sinda(30-34), Michael Mancio ( 35-39), Leonardo Angeles Jr.( 40-49) and Arnie Dechuas Basinillo in the 50-above division while Lucille Ruiz(f30-39) and Maria Celeste Maniquis(40-above) shone in the girls side.
Trimac won the relay event with 2:26:18 followed by Tri Liloan teams with a 2-3 finish with 2:32:01 and 2:34:23 clocking.
In the sprint distance, Alfred Latrell Pacabis came out the fastest with 1:19:10 clocking, followed by Karl Le with 1:24:45 as football player-turned triathlete Voltaire Montebon got the third spot with1:25:09 clocking while the distaff side saw Vangie Janea topped the battle in 1:43:47.
In the kiddie tri battle, Valkyris and Saavik Scheuer had a 1-2 finish in the 8-under class while the boys’ side saw Xisco Dion Villo-Cuyos on top. (FREEMAN)
