CEBU, Philippines - Leylam FC will be Cebu's lone representative to the Football Fives World Championships (F5WC) Philippine Finals tomorrow in Manila.
This after ERCO FC has decided to give their slot away to Leylam due to other priorities.
There were actually two slots allocated for Cebu, with Leylam emerging as the top qualifier and the ERCO BRO Nationals as the runner-up.
But with ERCO BRO begging off, they decided to just give it to Leylam FC, which also has another team.
Under Leylam A are Alex Buanhog Jr., Ranulfo Colina, Ruffy Llorente, Michael Pacite, Jaime Pedoroso Jr., Carlo Tacusalme and Ugur Tasci, while Leylam B will be manned by Virgilio Manayon, Emmanuel Arigbe, Evren Tasci, Imran Sani Hussain, Ismail Abdulmalik, Cristopher Colarte and Cem Tasci.
The team will be coached by Oliver Colina assisted by Rene Sanchez Jr.
All players of Leylam FC are amateurs as the F5WC tilt is only for amateur players who have potentials to make it big not only in the country but also on the international stage.
Cebu's representatives will be dealing the top squads from Cagayan de Oro, Bohol, Legaspi and Metro Manila.
The champion in this five-a-side action will be representing the country to the F5WC World Finals in Dubai next month. (FREEMAN)
