CEBU, Philippines - Cebu’s oldest existing run, the Halad Kang Mano Amon, stages its 36th edition tomorrow with over hundred runners expected to see action in Danao City.
Organizers of the race have decided to hold this annual event earlier instead of Christmas Eve to allow runners to focus with their families during the said occasion instead of still going to Danao to run.
The event was put up by Danao’s grand old man, Ramon “Mano Amon” Durano Sr., is expected to once again bring fun and excitement.
Close to P100,000 is at stake for the winners of the each category, an additional motivation to runners who are still thinking of what to have during their noche buena.
The event features the 12K open, 6K All-Danao, 6K collegiate,6K high school, 6K city hall employees and 3K elementary pupils category.
Since this is in honor of the late Mano Amon's birthday, organizers are not asking for any registration fee, but runners needs to register to avail of a free singlet.
The singlets will be given away to the first 500 registered runners under any categories. (FREEMAN)
