CEBU, Philippines - The Tri Team Championship Series returns to Dalaguete for their last leg slated on February 7.
“We are really honored at the same time happy and excited that it’s going to be the championship leg that will be held there (Dalaguete). Our Mayor (Ronald Cesante) is fully supportive of this event,” said Almar Villahermosa, the event coordinator in Dalaguete during yesterday’s press conference at Fuente Pension.
Dalaguete hosted the first leg earlier this year. Locals are looking forward to the event since Dalaguete started hosting a three-in-one event since that has promoted their town as a tourist destination.
The three-part TTCS was suppose to end this year, but due to conflict with schedules of other triathlon events, organizers led by Sugbutriathlon’s coach Benjoe Gimenez decided to just do the final leg next year.
Registration for the third leg is now ongoing. Entry fee for the early bird until December 15 in the standard distance is P2, 000, P 1, 800 for the individual sprint, P1, 500 per head in the relay and kiddie tri. Entry fee is inclusive of a bike jersey from Threeofme, fellowship lunch, bib number, helmet, bike number and a swim cap.
Triathletes will have to pay P500 more during the regular registration period from December 16 to January 20.
Entry forms are available at The Brick at JP Morgan Building in Cebu IT Park and SATS Office across Gaisano Grand Mall. One can also register online through www. sugbutriathlon.com. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
