CEBU, Philippines – The organizers of the expanded Sunsport Basketball Camp are still accepting students for their weekly training program at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club along D. Jakosalem Street, this city.
The five-week cage clinic will be held on Saturdays covering two hours per session.
Camp director Giovannie “JoJo” Romarate said the participants will be taught on both the fundamental and technical aspect of the sport.
"We will impart to our students the basics of basketball such as proper shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork and other related drills," said Romarate, presently the head coach of Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) Skyblazers.
"We will also share to them some offensive and defensive strategies, on-court communication and other technical aspect of the game," he added. "Above all these drills, we want to instill in them the value of hardwork, discipline and teamwork as well as the spirit of sportsmanship, which is the very essence of a well-rounded athlete."
Registration fee is P1,000 inclusive of an upper jersey and a Sunsport basketball 2014 edition.
