CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano triathletes who are bound to World Xterra Championships, made a big splash in the Tunaman Lawihan Triathlon in General Santos City, yesterday.
Joseph Miller came out second overall in the men’s open after finishing the 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run race in two hours and 18 minutes. Banjo Norte topped the division in two hours and nine minutes, while Jo Mahinay placed third with 2:23 clocking.
Miller’s teammate, Jose Merdino Lim, reigned supreme in the 25 to 34 class with a time of two hours and 25 minutes. Multi-titled Noy Jopson, for his part, grabbed the 35-44 class in 2:32.
Motorace bet Tenggoy Colmenares also made his presence felt after ruling the 45-above division in 2:43 clocking.
Miller along with Lim and Colmenares are gearing up for the World Xterra Championships in Maui, Hawaii slated on October 26. (FREEMAN)
