CEBU, Philippines - Last year in Oslob, the Hunat Sugbu Triathlon goes to Argao on September 21. Organized by Cebu Parklane International Hotel in association with the local government of Argao under the flagship of Mayor Edcel Galeos, the event features the standard and sprint distances as well as the relay competition. The standard and relay action covers a grueling 1.5-kilometer swim, 40km bike and 10km run.
Those who will register on or before July 21 will pay only P2,300, while late registrants or those who will enlist after September 7 will be assessed with P2,800. The regular entry fee is pegged at P2,500.
For the relay event, registration fee is P2,000 for the early birds, P2,300 for the regular period and P2,500 for the late entries.
Aside from trophies, the overall champions in the standard battle will receive a uniform prize of P5,000, while the second and third placers will pocket P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
The top finishers in each age-bracket will also be honored by the organizers, while all finishers will receive medals as well as the top three performers in the sprint race and relay.
Trophy will also be handed out to the biggest delegation of the one-day tilt that will be handled by Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE). (FREEMAN)
