CEBU, Philippines - German national Marek Olejniczak, the reigning Mr. Universe Pro champion, will grace the 3rd Philippine-Asia 2014 International Bodybuilding Championships set on August 8-9 at the Summit Circle (formerly Cebu Midtown Hotel).
Aside from winning the prestigious Mr. Universe title, the 32-year-old Olejniczak also topped the Mr.World Pro and the Arnold Classic Europe competitions both held last year. He will surely be an added treat to the participants and spectators as well being a guest poser.
Meanwhile, over P150,000 is at stake for the top performers of the two-day event.
The categories to be contested are the men's physique, women's shape/bikini, women's figure, men's masters, mixed pair and athletic, Mr. Athletic open and novice open.
The men's overall champion will get a total of P110,000 worth of prizes that include P25,000 cash and P85,000 worth of roundtrip ticket to Germany for the NAC Universe.
The Mr. Physique titlist will receive the second biggest cash reward of P10,000 plus trophy and gift packs from sponsors, while the Miss Fitness will take home P6,000. The rest of the category winners will get P8,000 cash and exciting gift items.
Also, all class champions are also qualified to compete in the NAC Universe in Germany at their own expense.
Event organizer Dennis Delgado said the height and weight classification in this Workout Fitness-organized event is scheduled in the morning of August 8, while the pre-judging will take place in the afternoon in Mactan Island.
The final battle will be held the following day.
Registration fee is pegged at P2,000 inclusive of a welcome and victory dinner among other perks.
