M. Lhuillier dartfest unfolds tomorrow

CEBU, Philippines - A total of P45,000 is at stake in this year's edition of the annual M. Lhuillier Sinulog Darts Tournament set to  unfold tomorrow night at the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center.

The categories to be contested in the two-day tilt organized by the Cebu Darts Association (CDA) are the open three-man team, open doubles and open singles.

The three-man team event scheduled on Friday will follow a double elimination format. The open singles and doubles will be played on Saturday yet on a 501 best-of-5 format in the classification phase and best-of-seven in the finals.

The champion and the runner up in the open three-man team and open doubles will receive P6,000 and P3,000, respectively. The joint third and fourth will get P2,100 for the 3-man team and P1,600 for the open doubles, while the fifth to eighth placers will take home P600 each.

The top performer in the open singles will pocket P5,700, while the runner-up will get P3,000. The joint third and fourth will have P1,500, while the fifth to eigth will get P600. A consolation prize of P200 each will go to the ninth to 16th placers.

Entry fee for each of the three events is pegged at P150.
