DBTC sizzles in Aboitiz football

CEBU, Philippines -  Don Bosco Technological Center (DBTC) booters dominated most of their assignments in the 16th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports field in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

DBTC’s three teams in the under-11 all won their matches. The first game saw DBTC team under bracket B trouncing Tabor Hills, 3-1. Another DBTC squad also blanked San Roque Football in bracket D, 5-0, while DBTC silenced SAIS FC, 2-0.

In the under-9 action, DBTC’s Team 2 crushed CPMS, 10-1, while DBTC-Team A upended Springdale-A, 1-0.

DBTC-D came through a 10-0 whitewash against Springdale-B, but Cebu International School halted DBTC’s streak as they scored a 3-0 triumph against DBTC-Team E.

Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu also escaped with a 3-1 win against the DBTC-Team C as Canduman FC dumped another DBTC squad, 7-0.

In the under-7 bracket, DBTC-Team A posted a 4-0 win against Consolacion FC, while its Team B ended with a 2-all draw against CIS. DBTC-C was also  overpowered by Giuseppe, 1-3.

DBTC's bets in the under-15 suffered contrasting fates, with its Team 2 winning against SJS-M, 3-0, while Team 1 falls prey to Subangdaku FC, 1-0.

In the under-18 action, Springdale pulled off a 7-0 annihilation against FC TV, while Liloan also demolished SJS-M, 7-0.

In the under-15 bracket, Springdale and Giuseppe settled for a 2-all draw, while Abellana  National School-Pomeroy got a 2-0 win over the Guardians.

In the under-13, Suba Basbas had an easy win against CPMS while Mactan Camellanz got a 6-0 shutdown over Canduman FC.  Dynamo silenced SAIS, 3-0 and CIS had a 3-0 triumph against Subangdaku FC.

In the under-11, Canduman outsmarted Phoenix, 2-0, while Springdale blanked CIS, 3-0. Lahug claimed a 5-1 victory against Warshockz Famball as their Team B clobbered MAD FC, 5-1. Dynamo and Giuseppe fought in a 2-all draw.

The University of San Carlos-BED dumped CPMS, 23-0 in the under-11 bracket, but USC-BED lost to Bright Academy, 5-1, in the under-9 class.

St.Theresa’s College (STC) and SHS-AdC grabbed wins in their respective matches in the women’s bracket.  STC pulled off a 3-0 triumph over Tabor Hill as SHS-AdC silenced Bright Academy, 3-0. (FREEMAN)
