Pagara topbills ALA-Cobra boxing

CEBU, Philippines - “Prince” Albert Pagara (17-0, 12KOs) of the ALA Stable hopes to keep his unbeaten record intact when he takes on Gadwin Tubigon (9-7, 4KOs) of Dipolog City in the main event of ALA Promotions and Cobra Energy Drink ‘Tunay na Lakas Boxing’ tomorrow night at the Freedom Park in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The 19-year-old Pagara is out to prove that he is worthy to be one of the new generations of ring stars that aim to become the country’s next world champion as he is expected to score another impressive win against Tubigon.

Pagara was supposed to headline the second edition of ‘IDOL’ boxing series last November 15 in Maasin against Indonesian Ruben Manakane but the fight card was discarded because of the damage brought by super typhoon ‘Yolanda.’

Albert, the younger brother of light welterweight star Jason “El Niño” Pagara, pulled of a masterful second round knockout of Thai Khunkhiri Wor Wisaruthin in his previous bout last July 13 at the Solaire Resort Hotel and Casino in Parañaque City.

In the supporting bouts, another undefeated ALA prospect Juren Labordo (11-0, 7KOs) will slug it out with Jaymart Toyco (13-4, 9KOs).

The rest of the card features, Roma Rate vs  Reymond Tabogon, Boyce Sultan vs Royroy Sumugat, Crispin Parba vs Marvin Catipay, Kim Galon vs Belmar Plaza, Raul Yu vs Andrew Palas, Geo Santisima vs Jam-Jam Ungon and Jay Solomon vs Eddie Liparanon.  (FREEMAN)
