CEBU, Philippines - Aegis People Support stretched it unbeaten streak to five in both men's and women's division of the inaugural Spike Sports Volleyball League's Innodata-Skywalkers Cup 2013 at the Innodata multi-sport court in Mandaue City.
In the men's action, Aegis People Support logged 10 set wins and only two losses out of five games.
Aegis had little trouble whipping Eperformax, 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, and Convergys-TGU, 33-31, 25-13, 25-21.
Aegis sustained its momentum with victories over EPCIBECC-BDO, 25-16, 25-23, Stream 25-17, 25-18, and Lexmark, 25-17, 25-2.
Innodata is currently at second place with a 5-1 win-loss mark. Innodata prevailed over EPCIBECC-BDO, 25-20,25-15, Accenture at 25-14,25-18, Lexmark at 25-11,25-19, ePerformax at 25-19,25-12 and Convergys, 27-25, 25-20, but fumbled at the hands of Stream, 25-23, 25-18.
Convergys-TGU and CVG-iBanawa are at joined third and fourt spots with identical 3-2 slateshares the third spot with 3-2 each.
The rest of standings have Eperformax at 3-3, EPCIBECC-BDO and Stream at 2-3, Accenture at 1-4, while Lexmark stays winless in five starts.
In the women's side, Aegis People Support is on top of the heap alongside Convergys, which also sports an immaculate 5-0 record.
Among Aegis' victims include Innodata, 25-21, 25-14, Eperformax, 25-24,25-19, Qualfon, 25-23, 25-13, Lexmark, 25-20, 25-17 and Accenture, 25-22, 25-18.
Convergys, for their part, chalked up wins at the expense of EPCIBECC-BDO, 25-11, 25-10, Innodata, 25-21, 25-23, Qualfon, 25-18, 25-18, Lexmark, 25-16, 25-15 and ePerformax, 25-18, 25-12.
Calltek trails Convergys with a 5-1 card. Calltek outlasted Qualfon, ePerformax, EPCIBECC,Lexmark and Accenture before bowing to Innodata, 27-25, 25-17.
Momentarily running fourth to ninth in the women's class are EPCIBECC-BDO (3-2), Innodata (3-3), Qualfon (2-3), Accenture (1-4), Eperformax (0-5) and Lexmark (0-6).— (FREEMAN)
