CEBU, Philippines - Multi-titled Cebuano rider Jon-Jon Adlawan notched back-to-back wins in the Dumaguete leg of the Kopiko Astig 3-in-1 motocross competition.
Adlawan claimed the pro open and pro lites titles after outsmarting Dondon Yuson in both categories.
Of his twinkill, Adlawan relishes more his triumph in the pro open division as he had to toil hard in the final heat to lift the first place trophy.
Jubenile Abellar, on the other hand, came out third in the pro open and fourth in the pro lites.
The young but promising BJ Pepito posted a 1-2 finish in his categories. He topped the peewee 65, but missed the mini class title to the unstoppable McLean Aguilar.
Like the Kopiko-sponsored Adlawan, Aguilar came up with a double victory as he also lorded it over in the beginners class.
Rex Barbaso came out the fastest in the open enduro, while the fast-rising downhiller JR Barba bagged the top spot in the underbone class.
The rest of the winners were Mamay Trupa (local enduro), Noynoy Rellosa (intermediate), Keith Lloyd Abrenica (peewee 50) and Jay Lacnit (veteran C). (FREEMAN)
