2 months extension for 93-1 lots occupants

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia has given another 60 days extension for the occupants of the Capitol-owned lots under Ordinance 93-1 to process their housing loan application with the Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund.

The extension was given upon the request of the homeowners who are having difficulties getting a loan because of several requirements such as tax declaration and tax clearances.

In a meeting with the occupants together with the officials of Pag-IBIG Fund, Garcia said the Capitol will issue a certification that the lots subject of loan applications exist under the ownership of Cebu Province.

Earlier, the provincial government gave 93-1 lots occupants until May 2 to get a loan from Pag-IBIG.

“Sige, last na ni ha. Last na. Last na gyud. Promise, 60 days, July 2,” Garcia told the occupants during a meeting on May 2.

The lots under Ordinance 93-1 are located in at least 11 barangays in Cebu City -- Busay, Luz, Lahug, Mabolo, Apas, Lorega, Kasambagan, Capitol Site, Tejero, Kamputhaw, and Kalunasan. (CEBU NEWS)
