2 drug suspects arrested, P1.3 million shabu seized

CEBU, Philippines — Two suspected drug personalities were arrested in separate anti-drug operations resulting in the seizure of at least 205 grams of shabu worth over P1.3 million in Cebu City.

The arrest of Larry Diez tabar, 36, a resident of Alumnus, Mambaling and Julius Recilla in Barangay Pardo on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, were a result of a month-long surveillance conducted by the elements of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).

Tabar was caught with multiple packs of shabu worth P714,000 during a buy-bust operation in Vestil St., Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City. According to the police, the suspect was in and out of jail for various violations, including illegal possession of firearms, illegal drugs, and robbery.

Meanwhile, Recilla, a high-value individual, was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Sitio Bayabas, Barangay Poblacion Pardo, Cebu City. The Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) personnel of Inayawan Police Station 7 confiscated 100 grams of drugs worth P681,360 and a caliber .38 revolver with three live rounds of ammunition.

Tabar and Recilla are currently detained while waiting for the appropriate charges to be filed against them. – /FPL (FREEMAN)
