CEBU, Philippines - A transport group in coordination with the management of Robinsons Galleria – Cebu is now in talks for a drop-off / pick-up point at the new mall for public utility jeepneys plying the northern parts of Cebu.
Robinsons Galleria – Cebu will open to the public today.
Romeo Armamento, vice president of the National Confederation of Transportworkers Union – Central Visayas, said the parties are ironing out the individual travel routes.
PUJs from Carmen, Danao City, Liloan and Consolacion usually pass by the area where the mall is located at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City.
“Pero ang problema sa mga drivers kay ang among ruta mag-agi mi sa right pero and Robinsons naa man sa left so kaning problema, i-settle sa ni namo sa Cebu City Transportation Office,” Armamento said.
He said PUJs plying routes from Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu cities, as well as routes from Barangays Talamban and Lahug in Cebu City, would like to traverse Robinsons Galleria. These routes do not pass through the mall.
“So far, okay man ang Robinsons. Ilaha ming hatagan og area para pick-up point ug drop-off point sa mga pasahero. Pero mao lagi e-plastada pa ang mga rota,” Armamento said.
According to the mall’s management, an estimated 50,000 passengers are expected to travel to and from the mall daily. — (FREEMAN)
